Thanks to everyone who came out for the “soft launch” of Long Beach Wild that was held earlier this week as part of the Pacific Rim Whale Festival. It was a great turnout and I had some excellent feedback on my presentation — which is not a “reading” in the traditional sense, but more of a conversation (with pictures) about Long Beach and the people who’ve called it home (be it for an afternoon or for decades). I enjoyed myself very much and everyone else seemed to as well. Thanks also to the Long Beach Lodge for hosting the event.

There are two more west coast events on the horizon (and more in the planning stages).  First up, a Tofino launch, sponsored by Mermaid Tales Bookshop, which will be held Wednesday, April 25 at 8 pm at the Clayoquot Sound Community Theatre.

And on Tuesday, May 3 there will be an event in Ucluelet. I’ll post the details when we have them nailed.

Hope to see you at one of the events!
